I hear grumbling about overused wedding music, often from musicians, having to play the same pieces wedding after wedding, as if it were the bride’s (or couple’s) fault. I’m not convinced this is the case.

It’s true that wedding planning guides don’t include much variety. But how much encouragement and support for using distinctive music do musicians provide?

I know some musicians who do strive to help couples find the perfect music. But there are others who seem content to recommend the same pieces already heard over and over again.

Wedding Music Advice To Not Listen ToOne chance. That’s it.

You get only one chance to plan your wedding ceremony. There’s no “practice” round. You have to get it right the first time.

Even more stressful is how foreign the work can seem, since you probably know very little about classical music or church music planning.

It makes sense to turn to others for advice to help make the ceremony as close to perfect as possible. But the advice needs to be helpful.

There is a lot of wedding planning advice. There’s even some advice for planning wedding ceremony music. But practically nothing for church wedding ceremony music.

Brides Deserve Better Advice From Wedding Music Guides“Not your parents’ music”.

I was poking around the internet looking for other information on planning church wedding music and was not encouraged by what I found.

While there are plenty of sites with advice for planning wedding music, even ceremony music, there is very little for planning a church wedding.

If it’s a church wedding you’re planning, it doesn’t help you much to have so little specific advice available.
