Be careful not to assume your church wedding musician gets paid to play for your wedding by the church.

Hi! I have a question for you today.
What part of the ceremony are you having the most difficulty finding music for?
I’m sure it’s probably different for everyone. Some know exactly what they want for their processional and have known for a long time. Others just can’t find the right piece of music.
As a musician, when I’m looking at music, I have the most trouble with vocal solos for during the ceremony. Sometimes, finding a recessional can also difficult. But helping someone find music for a processional comes easy.
I’m curious. What parts of the ceremony cause problems for you and why do think this is so?
Being organized is important. It will help keep you focused on what currently needs to be done and prevent things from falling through the cracks. Even so, sometimes reality gets in the way and things don’t go according to plan.
When this happens, it may not make sense to just stop and wait while the problem detail gets sorted out. In fact, it’s almost always best to move on, do what you can, and when the detail gets resolved, then come back to where you’re at now.
Stopping and waiting can cause you to miss valuable planning or preparation time. But other times, it does make sense to do just that.
